He bestseller I Am Not Your Baby Mother, an essential guide to black motherhood in Britain, received rave reviews. It’s followed by Sista Sister, essays on everything Candice wishes she’d known as a young Black girl growing up.
Ahead of her appearance at Henley Literary Festival, where she featured alongside Young Adult novelist Nikesh Shukla, Candice joined Laithwaites’ Jennie Jennings for a glass of wine.
