RedHeads grows

Work has begun with our winery extension…

As we watch the tiny new grapes ripening here in Europe, hoping they’ll survive these ‘extreme weather’ events ‘till vintage day’, in Australia the harvest is all safely in. Phew!

So, at RedHeads we have begun building our winery extension.

Work is underway on the new winery new extension at RedHeads

It seems to me like we only just finished the existing winery and here we are just about doubling its size. Because we are overflowing. The building is 50% more floor space but that means 100% more capacity.

We desperately want to be able to give our wines more age to release them at their best. For which we need space. Recently we had to release our Catbird Seat Coonawarra Cab 2020 a year too early, and you punished us with 3.5-star ratings. Well, apologies. But we had no option…but we are at least doing something about it. Sheds get built very quickly in Oz.

RedHeads Wine opened the new winery at 258 Angaston Road in February 2019

To show what an extra year does for a wine, get a few bottles of the Coco Rotie 2019. How we managed to hang on to that I don’t know but grab before it goes.

I hope your enthusiasm for what comes out of there continues unabated. We’re banking on you! Literally.

If you are going to Oz, specifically Adelaide, you must go and try out the Redheads Studio Bar, now open again. To get there Google Map “RedHeads Wine’ Barossa and you get this…but those two big roofs will soon be three…and we’ll still be solar powered and off-grid for water.
