It’s been 50 years since Tony Laithwaite first started buying wine in France and selling it to customers in the UK.
Since then a lot has changed (Tony started out with a van and little bit of help from his nan!) but our passion for sharing great wine with you remains the same.
To celebrate our golden anniversary we’re bringing some of the best wines we’ve found from around the world out on the road.

Join us at our new Laithwaite’s Road Show as we make our first stop at Cardiff City Hall on Saturday 26th January.
To celebrate this special milestone anniversary we’re launching a brand-new tasting experience, The Ministry of Taste – the Music Sessions, so you can explore how music changes the flavour, or alters how much you enjoy a wine.
Who will be at the Laithwaite’s Road Show in Cardiff?
We’ll be joined by some of the winemakers behind your favourite bottles, including Bodegas Manzanos which produces some of our customers’ favourite Riojas; the “only Grand Cru of the Midi” Mas de Daumas Gassac; and, arguably one of Champagne’s finest houses, Pol Roger.
Helping us celebrate Australia Day the right way will be Berton Vineyards run by Bob who decided to takeover an abandoned vineyard back in 2006 and now produces a host of popular bottles including Willy Willy Shiraz, The Optimist and the ‘All Out’ wines.
But it’s not just wine, we’ll also have the producers behind the artisanal Old Bakery Gin and ever-popular lager Primator on hand to talk to you.
And on top of the drinks we’ll have stands piled high with lots of delicious food perfect for pairing with your favourite drink.
Once you’ve tried all the samples you fancy you can then take advantage of the exclusive event discounts and buy your favourite wines at a special reduced price.
